You’re a vampire on a dating app. Swipe right on humans to quench your thirst, and swipe left on anyone who seems a little too… immortal.

  1. Read the profile. Bios are full of clues.
  2. Drag the card or tap Yum / Yuck. Arrow keys work too.
  3. Keep your thirst up until sunrise.

A tiny taste. The full game has dates, chats, endings and a lot more teeth.

Welcome to HBG

Hi there, thanks for dropping by! We’re Honey Bun Games, an independent video game studio based out of Madrid, Spain.

There are three of us, and we started out as a game jam team. Love at First Bite was our entry to the Indie Spain Jam 2023, and the idea had teeth: we took it through the PowerUp+ pre-incubation program and founded the studio to build the full game.

Love at First Bite

You live the life of a vampire surviving through a dating app. Swipe right on tasty humans, swipe left when a profile feels off, because some vampires are better at hiding than others. Matches are limited each day, and your thirst only grows while you decide on tonight’s dinner.

  • Profiles are puzzles. Read bios, photos and chats to unmask the vampires in disguise.
  • Thirst is a clock. Limited matches and a growing hunger force you to commit.
  • Dates are minigames. Keep them charmed before suspicion peaks.
